Good morning Mississauga,
Here’s your Tuesday list of ticketed plans, local finds, new openings, deals, and community events worth knowing before the weekend rush.
This week has Jollof Fest at Erindale Park, a Sunday day party, a Pearl Jam tribute night to book ahead, Canada Day plans for tomorrow, and the LEGO store coming to Square One.
Let’s get into it!
This Week’s Local Feature
Muskoka Woods Summer Camp
The best part of camp isn't what happens at camp.
It's what comes home with your child.
Parents often tell us they notice changes after camp:
✅ More confidence
✅ Greater independence
✅ New friendships
✅ Less hesitation to try new things
✅ Better social skills
✅ More responsibility
For nearly 50 years, families across Ontario have trusted Muskoka Woods to help their children grow through meaningful experiences, positive role models, and unforgettable adventures.
Thousands of campers return every summer because camp becomes a place where they belong.

Jollof Fest Mississauga 2026

📅 Saturday, July 4 to Sunday, July 5 | 📍 Erindale Park
Bring your appetite for two days of Jollof rice, African food, live music, cultural dance, DJs, family activities, and a full-on cooking competition at one of the city’s best summer park spots.
Good to know: General admission tickets are free, but you’ll still want to claim yours before the weekend and plan around parking.
YFAH Day Party
📅 Sunday, July 5 | 📍 FLWR Event Space
If your ideal Sunday plan leans more 80s, 90s, and 2000s party anthems than quiet patio lunch, this one brings a proper summer day-party feel to Brunel Road.
Why save it: It’s a ticketed afternoon party, which makes it a good pick for a birthday crew, friend group, or anyone who wants to go out without staying out until 2 a.m.
Pearl Jamming Live At Stonehooker
📅 Friday, July 10 | 📍 Stonehooker Brewing Co.
Pearl Jam fans get a full tribute night by Pearl Jamming, with a brewery setting, a live crowd, and a set built around the big 90s grunge anthems.
Why save it: Capacity is limited and tickets are listed at $20 plus fees, so it’s an easy one to lock in now if you want a live-music night next Friday.
Local Finds
Best Weekend Browse:
Mississauga Common Ground Music And Craft Festival
📅 Saturday, July 4 to Sunday, July 5 | 📍 The International Centre
Spend part of the long weekend browsing handmade goods, local artists, small businesses, and live music under one roof. It’s a good one if you want a market with more going on than shopping alone.
Best Friday Night Stop:
First Friday Market
📅 Friday, July 3 | 📍 Streetsville Village Square
Streetsville gets its July market night on Friday with local vendors, small-batch food, handmade goods, and live music in the Village Square.
Best Save-Ahead:
📅 Saturday, July 11 | 📍 Vic Johnston Community Centre
Save this one for next weekend if you like indoor markets with handmade jewellery, candles, florals, self-care products, home décor, and giftable finds from local makers.
New & Notable
Canada Day Has Three Big Local Options Tomorrow
Mississauga has three major celebrations happening tomorrow. Celebration Square runs from 4 to 10:30 p.m. with food trucks, family activities, live music and fireworks at 10 p.m. Port Credit starts with an 11 a.m. parade, followed by a waterfront festival with rides, vendors, live music and fireworks at 10:15 p.m. Streetsville runs from 4 to 10 p.m. with a car show, kids’ activities, live entertainment and a drone-and-fireworks finale at 9:45 p.m.
Choose City Centre for the biggest show, Port Credit for a full day by the water, or Streetsville for a more local village feel.
A LEGO Store Is Coming To Square One
Square One has a LEGO Store listed as coming soon, and LEGO’s own grand-opening events page also names Square One Shopping Centre as a future Canadian store location.
Why it matters: This is the kind of mall opening that gets kids, collectors, gift shoppers, and full-grown LEGO adults paying attention.
