Level 3: “I want to open it up and change the whole main floor.”
As Joel puts it, this is where things get interesting.
Take down a wall and the kitchen can open into the rest of the main floor. Instead of redesigning one room, you can rethink how the whole space looks, feels and flows together.
Joel compares it to peeling an onion: each layer opens up another possibility.

The big top is at Erin Mills Town Centre this week, with evening shows Thursday and Friday, multiple Saturday showtimes, and a Sunday matinee. Expect a classic touring circus setup with grandstand and ringside seats, plus free admission for kids under 3.
Why save it: The early-bird tier on one Saturday show is already sold out, so families should book before the best showtimes get tighter.
Run It Back Vol. 1
📅 Saturday, September 26 | 📍 The Rec Room Square One
This 19+ R&B, neo-soul and hip-hop showcase brings live GTA artists to The Rec Room, with sets from Idiz, Stephnawguhmiss, Eman Pirzada, a guest appearance by Roze, and DJ Chizzla closing the night.
Why save it: It gives Mississauga a late-night live music option near Square One, with advance tickets still in an affordable range.
Back To School Magic Show

Chris Magic Events is bringing a family magic show to The Rec Room, with afternoon showtimes listed and a mix of illusions, laughs and audience interaction.

Cherry's Desserts Is Open In Ridgeway Plaza
Cherry's Desserts has added a Mississauga shop at 3525 Platinum Drive, Unit 121. The Ontario dessert chain lists the Ridgeway Plaza location on its official locations page, with late hours and a menu built around waffles, crepes, mini pancakes, cheesecake and milkshakes.
The menu also includes croffles, which are croissant waffles, plus kunafa style desserts, a sweet Middle Eastern dessert usually made with shredded pastry, cheese or cream, and syrup.
Why it matters: Ridgeway keeps adding after-dinner stops, and this one fills the late-night dessert slot rather than another full meal spot.
ROOM38 Is Coming To Square One
ROOM38, a movement and recovery studio, is listed as coming soon to Square One. The brand is previewing the space this Saturday with a paid mat Pilates pop-up and wellness marketplace in the Grand Rotunda before the studio opens.
Why it matters: It adds another fitness and recovery option to City Centre, and the preview gives a first look before the doors open.
saugaLIVE’s New Season Is On Sale
saugaLIVE has opened sales for its next season at the Living Arts Centre and Meadowvale Theatre, with comedy, concerts, jazz, film nights, family shows and holiday performances on the calendar.
