This is one of those weekends where Mississauga feels busy in the best way.
There’s a major new waterfront space opening to the public, a country music weekend in Port Credit, a family Eid event in Clarkson, and a few good food stops if you’re out and about.

Easy Plan This Week
If you want something simple and local, start at Jack Darling Park now that the weather is nice, and walk into Rattray Marsh.
You’ll get boardwalks, wetland views, lake air, and a quieter stretch of Mississauga than most people expect. Parking for Rattray Marsh is at Jack Darling Park, and the conservation area is free to enter.
After the walk, head north to Truscott Italian Bakery & Delicatessen for cannoli, buns, deli items, hot table food, or something easy to bring home.
It’s low effort, it keeps you in the Clarkson/Lorne Park area, and it works well on a sunny afternoon.

This Week’s Food Feature
El Mariachi Tacos And Churros Port Credit

📍 121 Lakeshore Rd W
If you’re around Port Credit for CMAOntario, El Mariachi is an easy food stop before or after music.
It’s a Mexican spot known for tacos, quesadillas, guacamole, street corn, and churros. Look at the Baja fish tacos, fried avocado tacos, birria quesadilla plate, chicken chimichanga, and churros if you want a sweeter finish.
Good for a casual dinner, a pre-show bite, or a group that wants a lot of shareable plates.
Clarkson Mediterranean Bistro
📍 1731 Lakeshore Rd W
Clarkson Mediterranean Bistro is a good south-west Mississauga dinner option if you want seafood, pasta, pizza, and Mediterranean-style plates in one place.
Feast on the calamari, mussels, antipasto platter, thin-crust pizzas, seafood pastas, and risotto options.
It fits a family dinner, a quieter date night, or a meal after a walk around Rattray Marsh or Clarkson Village.
Bella’s Inasal
📍 848 Burnhamthorpe Rd W
Bella’s Inasal is a good off-the-beaten-path Filipino spot if you want something heavier, casual, and different from the usual dinner picks.

It fits a casual family meal, takeout night, or a group dinner where you want a few big dishes to share.

Paramount Fine Foods Centre is getting a new name
The City says Paramount Fine Foods Centre will be temporarily renamed Mississauga Sports and Entertainment Centre starting Monday, June 1.
The change comes as the City ends its naming rights and concession agreement with Paramount Fine Foods. The City says existing bookings, programs, rentals, and scheduled events will continue as planned, and tickets using the old venue name will still be honoured.
The short version: if you’re going to an event there, your plans should not change. The name on signs and listings will.
Mississauga is making more room for live music
Mississauga has updated its Noise Control By-law to support more live music in the city’s cultural districts.
The change expands where live music is allowed, instead of making venues and organizers rely as much on one-off noise exemptions.
That could matter for restaurants, bars, festivals, and neighbourhood events that want to bring more music to Mississauga.
A new net-zero fire station opened in Erin Mills
Mississauga’s new Fire Station 123 has opened at 3050 The Collegeway.
The City says it is Mississauga’s second net-zero energy fire station, with rooftop solar panels, EV charging stations, stormwater features, and design details meant to help reduce contamination risks for firefighters, all while helping to keep the environment clean and green.
