Palma Pasta is a reliable Italian stop for take-home meals, quick lunches and family dinners that don’t need much work. The easy orders are meat lasagna, eggplant lasagna, cheese and spinach cannelloni, chicken parmigiana and veal parmigiana.
Save room for cannoli or zeppole if they’re in the case. This is more of a delicious comfort-food stop than a long sit-down dinner.
Roywoods

Roywoods is a Caribbean quick stop at Square One, good for a meal before or after a City Centre event. The menu keeps it simple with jerk chicken, BBQ chicken, fried chicken, curry chicken, curry goat, oxtail and escovitch fish plates.
If you want something easier to carry, go for a jerk chicken sandwich with plantain, rice and peas, wedges or a beef patty on the side.
What's New in Sauga
Peel Confirms West Nile Virus In Mosquitoes
Peel Region has confirmed its first West Nile virus-positive mosquitoes of the year. The mosquitoes were found in Brampton, but the reminder applies across the region, including Mississauga.
Why it matters: Mosquito risk rises through summer. Empty standing water around your home, check screens, and use repellent when you’re outside around dusk and dawn.
Mississauga’s Voters’ List Is Open
The voter registration portal is now open for the 2026 Mississauga Municipal Election. Election Day is Monday, October 26, when residents will vote for mayor, Ward and Regional Councillor, and School Board Trustee.

Cooksville Creek Gets Federal Restoration Funding
Mississauga is getting $453,406 in federal funding to restore part of the Cooksville Creek watershed at Iggy Kaneff Park. The plan includes 1,050 trees, 6,000 shrubs and 2,000 wetland plants, with work expected to finish by December 31, 2028.

Mississauga Named Ontario’s Most Active Community
